Family

Here is a strange sound file that I made one lovely Sunday morning in spring time around the year 2002. Mom was still asleep. I had woken quite early. I knew I would have to take her to church. I was letting her sleep in a bit, and in the meantime, I was using GarageBand for the first time. I recorded the train pulling into the town of Pawling, and then I recorded a hymn from the Christian Science Hymnal, which mom loves. (As mom would point out over and over, the hymn was based on a Jewish melody) I did my best piano rendition. And then when she finally did get up, I recorded her commenting on the train, and asking me if I wanted a cup of tea.
